I don't really like Facebook/Meta, but I do use Instagram out of necessity (my family and friends from
back home are there!), and I do actually enjoy takingphotos and uploading them for people to see, but I
also have friends who don't use Instagram understandably, so I decided to mirror my Instagram posts to
here, including a link to the pieces of music associated with each of my Instagram posts.
This gallery is organised from newest to oldest. The date associated with each photo is simply the
date it was uploaded to Instagram, and is not necessarily the date the photograph was taken. You can click
images to open the full sized image file.
I'll try to keep this page as up to date as possible but of course the most up-to-date version of

The song I picked to go along with this post is one of my favourite Brian Eno tracks; a song about Van Gogh painting The Starry Night after he admitted himself to the asylum which unfortunately feels a little too close to home right now. I feel like I ran out of nice photos to post for the most part which is why I haven't posted much lately. I'm not the kind of person who takes photos of myself very often which is something I'm trying to get better at. Maybe tomorrow or in a few days I'll go out and explore and try to get some cool lakefront or urban photos but recently I haven't had any time, energy or money to just go and enjoy my surroundings. The cognitive burden is too high at the moment.

During the pandemic I became absolutely infatuated with going for walks that were like 3-4 hours long around the local area every single day. Sun or rain, down the canals, through all the little side streets and pathways, silent streets and roads, nobody to worry about. Could draw a map of the pedestrian pathways through this part of town with my eyes closed now. When the world opened up again they found a body in the canal near here and I never walked along this section of the canals again.
